The SAP Operations Analyst (MM/P2P/Logistic Execution/PM) is a professional responsible for implementing and optimizing the SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Logistic Execution (LE) and Asset Management modules. This individual will act as the key liaison between the IT department and business users, procurement teams, warehouse managers, and technical teams, to understand the procurement and logistics requirements and design efficient solutions using SAP S/4HANA. The SAP Operations Analyst uses strong communication and problem-solving skills to guide the business, resolve issues, and drive improvements in the procurement and logistics processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design and configure the SAP S/4HANA MM, P2P, and Logistic Execution modules to meet the organization's procurement and logistics needs. This includes setting up master data, purchasing documents, inventory management, goods receipt, goods issue, and transportation processes.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to optimize the procure-to-pay process in SAP S/4HANA, including supplier management, request for quotation (RFQ), purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contract management, and invoice verification. Implement best practices to streamline procurement operations and improve efficiency.
- Configure and manage inventory management processes within SAP S/4HANA MM, including material master data, stock movements, goods receipt, goods issue, transfer postings, and physical inventory.
- Collaborates with implementation partners on the SAP S/4 Hana project, ensuring successful execution and delivery of project milestones.
- Oversees the existing SAP ECC system to ensure smooth operation and address any issues with purchasing, inventory and invoicing.
- Serves as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating clear communication and seamless collaboration.
- Supports requirements related to connected ancillary systems, ensuring proper integration with SAP.
- Proactively addresses real-time integration issues to prevent disruptions in materials and P2P processes.
- Conducts thorough unit and integration testing for new configurations and system changes, ensuring quality and functionality before deployment.
- Provides critical support during go-live activities, ensuring the system operates as intended and any issues are resolved promptly
- Partner closely with IT resources to address process improvement
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as an SAP MM, Purchasing and Logistics execution with extensive expertise in configuring and implementing the SAP S/4Hana module/s is required.
- Experience in configuring key components of the SAP S/4Hana P2P, including master data, sourcing, contracts, receiving, reconciliation, invoicing and payments.
- Posses a strong understanding of integrations between SAP modules (e.g., Materials Management, Finance, and Logistics Execution), as well as experience with EDI (electronic data interchange)/IDOC (intermediate document)/BAPI (business application programming interface), and related systems.
Plusses:
- Certification(s) in SAP S/4Hana Sourcing and Procurement preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance is preferred.
- Prior work experience in industries such as Manufacturing, Food or Beverage Manufacturing, or Retail is preferred.
